We will concentrate on Italian music and art especially those works with some relationship to Florence or that can be experienced in live musical performances and in the galleries of Florence.
UNIV 301: Florence as a Catalyst of the Renaissance
Dr. David Anglin The focus of this course is Florence itself as the center of humanism and the birth place of Renaissance ideas. We concentrate on Renaissance writers, historians, philosophers, artists and patrons of the arts and then venture into the city for ‘evidence’ of the ideas we have studied.
